Homewood Field

Building Description:

Johns Hopkins University is home to Homewood Field, one of the finest athletic stadiums in the nation. Built in 1907 and expanded with the addition of the Schelle Pavilion in 1998, Homewood Field offers a seating capacity of 8,500, commonly filled with the many spirited students of Johns Hopkins University. The stadium currently features a state-of-the-art scoreboard and message center and Sportexe Momentum Turf playing surface, installed in 2005. The lighting system, updated in 2007 by Musco, allows the facility to host night games throughout the year, consequently augmenting the atmosphere and providing a definite home-field advantage for the Johns Hopkins' football, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's soccer, and field hockey teams.
